Conceptual design of filling and emptying systems

Challenge

On behalf of the customer, Enmac made a preliminary design of the battery material factory concept for the customer. The assignment compared bulk delivery and the big bag system. The customer also wanted a carbon footprint calculation of both systems.

Solution

Enmac made a pre-design level layout for the customer, where the location of the silos and the locations of the process equipment were mapped. For the cost calculation, we asked for offers for the necessary equipment based on process planning. CAPEX and OPEX calculations were made for the whole. Finally, the carbon footprint of both alternatives was calculated from the whole. As additional work, the customer ordered a more detailed review of the bulk transport.
