Challenge:

The size of a hydraulic block was to be minimised and 28 components had to be integrated into the same steel 3D-printed block. The challenges of producing a large print and internal channels had to be taken into account.

Solution:

In the concept phase, Enmac designed the optimum orientation of the components. Enmac specified the printing methods and materials suitable for the application. Based on the concept, the 3D printable block was designed to meet the requirements. The structure was calculated against pressure loads.

Result:

A lightweight compact 3D-printed hydraulic block. The manufacturing cost was minimised in the design. In addition, a plastic 3D-printed cover and a logo for presentation use were designed around the block according to the customer’s wishes.
