One-stop turnkey deliveries with a single set of responsibilities

Enmac’s turnkey deliveries also include devices that do not even exist yet. We make procurement easy, as the customer purchases the design, manufacture, installation, and implementation with a single agreement and a single set of responsibilities.

It is important to be able to identify the required properties and perform the initial equipment configuration together with the customer. TSAC (Tire Sealant Application Cell), which Enmac developed and delivered to a Chinese tire manufacturer, serves as a good example of a turnkey delivery.

The tire manufacturer had developed a so-called self-seal tire, in which the added mass flows to the possible hole and repairs it automatically. The tire manufacturer did not, however, have a production method for the product it had developed.

The need for such self-seal tires will be emphasised in the future when self-driving cars and electric vehicles become more popular. Many vehicle manufacturers require that OEM tire suppliers have the ability to provide self-seal tires.

Product development and design

In the product development phase, preliminary plans were drawn up, quick preliminary tests were conducted, and component choices were made.

After sufficient assurance of the functionality had been achieved, the actual design phase began. During that phase, detailed designs, production documents, strength reviews, and other documentation was created. As the design process progressed, efforts were made to find suitable machine shops and component providers to establish a supply chain.

Manufacture, delivery, and implementation

When the design phase was completed, we were able to begin the procurement activities and conclude the necessary agreements. In the production phase, Enmac supervised and managed the production and carried out the factory tests in accordance with the customer’s requirements.

When the factory tests had been completed successfully, the TSAC robot cell was sent by air freight to China, where the customer took care of the customs formalities and delivery to the site. Enmac carried out the implementation and operator training.

The entire process from product development to device delivery took approximately nine months. The demand for developed technology has been significant, and the product’s future potential is great.
